CapCut for iPhone & iPad: Official App, Downloads & Pro Checks

For CapCut on an iPhone or iPad, use the iOS app linked by the publisher or its genuine App Store listing. An Android APK is not the iPhone installer. Check the current listing for your device and region before downloading; availability and requirements can change.

Find the genuine iOS listing

Start with CapCut’s App Store listing and check the developer, compatibility section, in-app purchase information and version history. A familiar icon in an advertisement is not enough to identify the app. Follow the store’s installation prompts on your own device.

If the listing is unavailable, note whether the message concerns your region, operating system, device or account restrictions. A renamed APK or a “CapCut iOS APK” download does not resolve platform incompatibility. Our iPhone APK compatibility guide explains the difference.

Separate free editing from Pro access

Downloading an app does not grant every paid feature. If a project prompts for Pro, inspect the tools, effects or other items used in that project and review the offer shown in your account. Check subscription terms and price before choosing paid access. Do not assume a “mod” download provides a genuine subscription or preserves your account entitlement.

The publisher’s Pro prompt explanation can help identify why payment is requested. You can consider removing the item that triggers the prompt where supported, rather than expecting a third-party installer to unlock it.

Protect projects before an update or reinstall

Confirm how your important projects and source media are stored. Export a copy of finished work and verify it plays. Do not assume that a draft is backed up merely because you signed in; check any sync status and retain original footage. Reinstallation can affect locally stored work, so establish a recovery path first.

Update through the same genuine store or publisher-supported channel used for the app. If installation fails, capture the exact store message and check Apple’s app download guidance. Avoid instructions to install an unknown profile to make an Android package work.

Frequently asked questions

Can I install CapCut’s Android APK on iPhone? No. Use the separately distributed iOS app; changing a file extension does not convert Android software.

Does a free download include every Pro feature? No. Review the tools and purchases shown in your account. A free installation and a paid entitlement are different.

Will every Android tutorial match the iPhone app? Menus, features and purchase flows can differ. Use instructions for your platform and version.
