“Story Downloader” is a descriptive name used by multiple tools, not a unique publisher identity. Before installing an APK, identify the exact app, developer and supported platform. A page using this label should not promise that one package downloads every Instagram, Facebook or WhatsApp story.
What the earlier link established
The previous button referenced package video.downloader.ig.saver.story.saver through a third-party host. We could not verify a current primary store listing or developer source for that package during this review, so the button has been removed. This access limitation does not prove malware or that the app has closed; it means we cannot certify the advertised file or features.
Saving your own story
Use the original platform’s supported save, archive or account-export options where available. Keep an original copy of media you create when you need it later. A bookmark or saved post can behave differently from an exported file, and an expired story may no longer be available through the same controls.
Other people’s stories and privacy
Being able to view a story does not automatically grant permission to copy, republish or use it commercially. Ask the creator when appropriate and respect private-account restrictions. Avoid tools claiming that they can bypass privacy settings or save hidden content through an unexplained method.
Do not hand over account credentials
Check why a tool requests access, whether it uses a supported login flow and who controls the app. Do not enter passwords or verification codes into an unidentified downloader. The requested permissions should match the task rather than granting unrelated accessibility, notification or device-administration access.
Package and update checks
A familiar icon, generic app name or “latest” filename is not file authentication. Check the actual release source, signing identity and supported device requirements. A differently signed update can affect installation and data. Use our download-source guide to evaluate a particular distributor.
